ఆత్మీయ స్వాగతం! సుస్వాగతం!!
భారతదేశాన, 2,500 సవత్సరాల అతి ప్రాచీనమైన, ప్రముఖమైన భాష “తెలుగు” తర తరాలుగా అక్షరంగా, పదంగా, పలుకై, పాటై ఒక సమూహానికి వెన్నెముకై వెరసి మానవ సమాజ అభివృద్ధిలో ఆయువుపట్టై . జీవిత సారాన్ని నేర్పిన అమృత తుల్యమైన భాష. తల్లి ఉగ్గు పాలతో, మురిపెంగా నేర్పిన ఆత్మీయమైన అమ్మ భాష తెలుగు.
ఆ తెలుగు భాష, సంస్కృతికి వారసులైన తెలుగు ప్రజలు ఆస్ట్రేలియా రాజధాని కాన్బెర్రాకు ప్రవాసులుగా వలస రావడం సుమారుగా 70 వ దశకంలో (1970 సం||) ఒక్క కుటుంబంతో మొదలైన కాన్బెర్రాలో తెలుగు వారి ప్రస్థానం, వటుడింతై అంతై అన్నటుల ఈ 2020 సంవత్సరానికి గాను దగ్గరదాపు 2000 కుటుంబాలుగా తెలుగు వారు కాన్బెర్రా నగరంలో స్థిరనివాసమేర్పరుచుకొన్నారు.
కాన్బెర్రాలో తెలుగు భాషా అభివృద్ధికై ఒక తెలుగు బడిని స్థాపించి నిర్విరామంగా గత 9 సంవత్సరాలుగా కాన్బెర్రాలో నడుపుతున్న సంస్థ తెలుగు సంఘం మరియు పిల్లలకు, పెద్దలకు మన తెలుగు పాటలతో రంజింపచేసే సదుద్దేశంతో స్థాపించిన “రాగం ఠానం పల్లవి” పాటల పోటీ గత దశాబ్దంగా నిర్వహిస్తూ ఎంతోమంది పిల్లల ప్రతిభను అందరికీ పరిచయం చేస్తుంది. మన ముఖ్యమైన పండుగలు “వినాయక చవితి” “దీపావళి” మరియు “ఉగాది”లను ఎంతో ప్రముఖంగా, ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా గడచిన 16 వసంతాలుగా జరుపుతున్న సంస్థ కాన్బెర్రా తెలుగు సంఘం( తెలుగు అసోసియేషన్ అఫ్ కాన్బెర్రా).
